Interestingly checking this flag with ffmpeg -version did not reveal the x11 flag in our terminal output. Ubuntu comes with an ffmpeg version compiled with this option. For screen capture to work in ver 0.9.3, the version of ffmpeg installed needs to have been compiled with the -enable-x11grab option. In version 0.9.3, the screen grab is done by the ffmpeg functionality.
One thing to note is that the screen grab tool requires a version ffmpeg compiled with the x11grab functionality.
